The Kruger National Park, South Africa’s iconic, world famous game reserve is a region of superlatives. Whether you visit in winter (May to September) when the bush is dry and the game is more easily found along the rivers and at waterholes, or during summer when the grass is high but the the park is full of young, every day is a good day. Game viewing in the park is either on a self drive basis or guided game drives can also be booked. Along Kruger’s western border are a number of private game reserves, home to internationally renowned luxury lodges. These conservancies have dropped their fences with the park allowing freedom of movement and an enhanced natural environment for the animals.
There are accommodation options to suit all budgets ranging from self catering Parks Board accommodation to the privately owned luxury lodges in surrounding conservancies which are fully inclusive of meals and game drives.
